Most people want to be well and healthy and partly that is the reason why companies like Melaleuca are growing so much. Offering strength and wellness products with the aim of helping people with ailments such as arthritis and the like, the company is expanding at a phenomenal rate.

Much of Melaleuca's astonishing growth can be attributed to the kind of marketing that Melaleuca runs. For a specified amount, not only can you become a customer whereby you purchase products of the company but you can in addition become a consultant, who profits from the sales of the Melaleuca range, by earning supplementary commissions.

This can range from becoming a sponsor for another sales person, who has joined via your affiliate corporate website or link, or by having a lot of 'pure' customers under you whereby you can permit them accumulate your commissions on behalf of you. These are people who bought products through your replicted corporate website.

Do not get me wrong; the Melaleuca marketing system can work - after all, the products being marketed is what everyone is really looking for. Physical condition and wellness has for ever been such big industry, and Melaleuca has tapped into it at precisely the right period. The company has been in operation for over 20 years. Melaleuca right now markets well over 350 products for the average consumer to select from. Although the prices are a little bit more expensive than your usual drugstore substitute, by and large the further cost is well worth it, due to the quality of the products.

At this point let's talk about how to promote and make money being an affiliate or consultant of Melaleuca (or Marketing Executive, as they like to call their affiliates). It's pretty straightforward out the door. You pay a joining fee of about $90, as well as setting up your own product account. The grounds for that is that to to be able to receive any payments, you need to accumulate 35 product points or sales poinits every month (each product has a points-to-dollar equivalent and is calculated accordingly). This is where I find that the dreams of Melaleuca's Marketing Executives' begin to fade. Why, you may ask?

To accumulate 35 points, you in fact have to buy about $80 worth of products. At this point, you become eligible for a discount close to about 40%, this amount has to be reached or maintained each and every month, whether you need products or not. Melaleuca state that you can, without problems cover these points if you sign up an adequate amount of members underneath you, as their points (i.e. The points accrued from those purchases) will go towards your target. Hmm!

Now here is the big problem. Melaleuca state categorically that they are not like other multi level marketing, Internet marketing companies online, in that you are not under any obligation to sign people. But how are you going to make any real money without using the power of leverage by not signing up other consultants at all? To put the facts into real perspective, in marketers world, it would take a at least a hundred people (i.e. Consultants that you signed up) underneath you to accrue any real substantial income, and that's only if they're being productive in the same way as well.

Certainly there will be people in Melaleuca who are being rewarded handsomely. And these individuals will probably be the ones that you see on the testimonials of the company's advertisements about how the company will transform your economic lifestyle. If you can afford to shell out money for stuff that you don't need month after month, and don't mind pestering friends, relatives and colleagues at work to join up with you in a business they might not be interested in the first place, then there is a chance that Melaleuca's business model will work for you as well. If that's not the situation, it's probably better to be open-minded and consider other options when it comes to making realistic income online from the comfort of your home. If you lost your job and you need to replace your income fast, or looking to build a real business online without needing to sponsor thousands in you direct downline, then be open, peel your eyes and do your homework before you sign on the dotted line.
